The science doesn’t stop after the birthday food.
After their hosted Mini Professors experiments and time for food and cake, the lab opens again for another 30 minutes of hands-on discovery. Children move between science stations exploring engineering, magnets, things that fly, making, building and experimenting at their own pace.
And the science comes home with them.
Every guest leaves with their own Mini Professors Take-Home Science Bag. No throwaway party tat. These are packed with experiments, activities and science equipment children can use and explore at home, so their Mini Professors journey carries on long after the birthday cake has gone.
‘ONE HUNDRED’
That was the score a five year old gave his Mini Professors party, out of ten.
Professor Lee was so welcoming and the venue was set up perfectly. I was worried 17 children and their grown ups would be chaos, but Lee kept our attention from the start with great activities and questions. She was so engaged with the kids and they loved doing something a bit different.
All I had to do was turn up with a cake and some lunchboxes and Lee took care of everything else.

Meet Professor Lee
Hi, I’m Professor Lee.
I’m the person who’ll be getting your children experimenting, laughing, predicting, testing and very probably shouting ‘WOW!’
I run Mini Professors Weymouth and work with children every week in schools, nurseries, after-school clubs, holiday clubs and our own Mini Professors classes.
I absolutely love making science exciting for children, and birthdays give me permission to turn the WOW factor up even further.

The venue and the day
Where do the parties take place?
Every Mini Professors Weymouth party is hosted exclusively at WOW @ Sparks in Southill, Weymouth. Exclusive venue hire, set-up and tidying are included with every package.
How many children can come?
The venue has room for up to 20 children, plus accompanying adults.
How long is the party?
The Explorer Party and Scientist Party are 2 hours.
The Ultimate Professor Party is 2½ hours.
The Science & Soft Play Party is 2 hours.
How early can we arrive?
You are welcome to arrive up to 15 minutes before your party start time. Everything will already be set up and ready for you.
Where can we park?
If you are hosting the party, you can park on Southill Garden Drive. This makes it much easier when you are bringing in the cake, food and anything else for the party. This is also the best option for anyone with mobility needs.
Party guests can park in the shopping centre car park and take the steps at the back of the car park up to our WOW @ Sparks venue.
Food, cake and decorations
Do we need to provide food?
Yes. Families provide the party food. We set up a dedicated area where the children can sit and enjoy the food you bring.
Can we bring a birthday cake?
Absolutely. You bring your own birthday cake along with your party food.
Can we decorate the venue?
The venue will already be decorated and ready for your celebration, but you are more than welcome to bring additional decorations if you would like to personalise the space for your child.
On the day
Do parents need to stay?
That is entirely up to you as the party host and will often depend on the age of the children attending. You can decide whether you would like parents to stay or whether you are happy for them to leave their children with you.
Do the children get lab coats?
Yes. Every child gets a Mini Professors lab coat to wear during the science fun, along with their very own Professor badge. We want them to feel like proper Mini Professors for the day.
Do the children get party bags?
Science party bags are included with the Ultimate Professor Party, where every guest takes one home.
These aren't bags full of throwaway party tat.
They're packed with experiments and science activities children can try again at home. Everything is chosen to be used, explored and, wherever possible, reused, so the science doesn't stop when the party finishes.
It's a little bit of Mini Professors to take home and continue their science journey.
Booking and planning
What happens after I enquire?
Professor Lee will check your preferred date and time and get back to you to confirm availability. You can then agree your package, theme and party details before securing your booking.
Do you provide invitations?
Yes. Once your party is confirmed, you'll receive a Mini Professors digital invitation which you can print at home or send digitally to your guests.
When do you need our final numbers?
Professor Lee will be in touch a couple of days before your party to confirm your final numbers and have a general check-in before the big day.
